The distribution campaign for separate waste collection equipment in Agerola is about to end. In less than thirty days, 2,752 collection kits were delivered to domestic users and in these days distribution to non-domestic users has also started. Those entitled to register in the TARI role who for any reason have not yet received the equipment are invited to contact the Progettoambiente offices to receive instructions.

Dear fellow citizens,
we would like you to read and share this short letter with the youngest members of your household – your children or grandchildren. The reason for our request is very simple. Over the years the environmental sector has worked with the support of residents to invest in the future for the upcoming generations.
Young people’s awareness of environmental issues and their natural inclination to separate waste is a proven fact – the result of good examples set at home and school.
Ten years ago, we shook up our collective conscience and, in a short time, got used to a new system of sorting waste and its management. We have achieved exceptional results that have seen us rewarded several times and recognised as a best practice model both inside and outside Campania. This has all been down to everyone’s commitment and to the care that each of us has dedicated to our beautiful local area.
For some time now, we have all made a commitment to our region in favour of quality and responsibility. It has enabled us to manage recycling in a rational, sustainable way, allowing us to hit significant targets for separate waste collection. But the future of our area deserves ever more love, ever more attention, an ever more certain future, and this why we are not going to stop.
The door-to-door service has enabled us to do a lot, keeping the rates we charge among the lowest in Italy, generating huge economic and environmental savings.
But now we need to take another step forward!
With the aim of rewarding the most helpful and encouraging the less attentive, a new phase in waste management will soon begin, with changes in the way waste is collected.
We will now move away from the Hdpe bags you currently use, to household containers equipped with RFID microchips. These will be delivered to each household.
This technology will allow us to manage waste intelligently, from its separation to collection and disposal, by tracking and monitoring it throughout the process.
More control means people need to pay more attention. Residents will be encouraged to produce less, sort more and pay less!
To present the new service’s features, a number of meetings will be organised across the area where you can find out more information about the service, the best ways to carry out waste separation at home and tips on how to reduce waste. We can only protect the environment we live in with everyone’s participation and cooperation. And this new phase should serve as a stimulus to achieve even better results without any significant changes to what has been
done so far. We are certain we can do it, and we are convinced it must be done!
